Our fighters once again demonstrated their skill, determination, and technical excellence at the
Zagreb Open Grappling Tournament 2025,
delivering an impressive performance! We return home proudly with 4 silver medals, proving once again that hard work and dedication pay off! 🥋🔥
Day 1: Seniors Hit the Mats!
On the first day of the tournament, our senior competitors, Marko Volarević (-92kg) and Duje Dobronić (-130kg), stepped onto the tatami.
- 🔥 Marko Volarević started strong with two spectacular submission victories, including a triangle choke! Though he was later stopped by more experienced opponents, he showcased tremendous progress and an outstanding performance in one of the toughest divisions! 💪
- 🥈 Duje Dobronić dominated his category, securing three wins! With a smart tactical approach and excellent control, he earned a SILVER MEDAL! A huge achievement for our “Snowflake”! 🏆
Day 2: Young Competitors Bring Home the Medals! 🏅
Our younger athletes took to the mats, proving that a bright competitive future lies ahead!
- 🥈 Andrija Košta (U15, -66kg) – Secured multiple dominant victories, including a submission win, and took home a silver medal! 🎖️
- 🥈 Luka Elez (U17, -60kg) – Showcased excellent technique, achieved a quick submission victory, and claimed silver! 🏅
- 🥈 Jakov Mladineo (U17, -72kg) – Fought bravely, won a crucial match on points, and finished second in his division! 🥋
Final Tally: 5 Fighters – 4 Silver Medals! 🏆
With five competitors in the tournament, we achieved incredible success! This is another step forward for our young club and proof that we are on the right path!
