Last weekend, our club participated in the Submission Grappling Championship 6, organized by Brotherhood BJJ Sarajevo, one of the toughest international grappling tournaments in the region. This prestigious event gathered an impressive 354 competitors from various countries and was held at the “Ramiz Salčin” arena in Sarajevo. For our club, it was a fantastic opportunity to test our young and promising fighters on a big stage.
Despite the fact that most of our competitors have only been training for a few months, we achieved outstanding results:
- Sanja Terzić – Silver Medal
- Mislav Đurin – Silver Medal
- Andrija Košta – Bronze Medal
- Luka Elez – Bronze Medal
Although many of our athletes have only recently started training, each one of them demonstrated incredible effort, determination, and a strong desire to improve—this, for us, is the greatest success of all.
Every competitor, regardless of the outcome, left everything on the mats. We saw grit, dedication, and passion, which makes us immensely proud of our entire team. These medal-winning experiences serve as extra motivation for the challenges ahead.
Special Thanks!
We want to extend a special thanks to our friend Damir “Kula” Kulović from MMA Fighter Academy Sarajevo, who warmly welcomed us and made us feel at home.

Highly recommended: If you’re ever in Sarajevo, don’t miss out on visiting Damir’s pastry shop Lokmas. Their fritule are a must-try!
Growing the Grappling Community
The competition provided a great opportunity to meet and exchange experiences with other clubs, which is a crucial step in strengthening the grappling community in the region.
The standout fighter of the tournament was Luka Vuksan from Checkmat Zadar. We had the pleasure of hosting him at a recent seminar with Bruno Vuksan Ćusa. Luka secured gold in the 94kg category and also in the absolute division. A huge congratulations to him on his success!
Moving Forward! 💪
This experience in Sarajevo has proven how much we can achieve through teamwork and dedication. We look forward to future challenges, continued progress for our athletes, and further strengthening of our community through the sport.
Thank you to everyone who supported us on this journey. See you soon at the next competition! OSS! 💪
