This past weekend, the ADCC Croatia Open 2025 took place in Zadar – one of the toughest grappling tournaments in the region. The event brought together an impressive 219 registered competitors from Croatia, neighboring countries, and beyond. Under strict ADCC rules and facing fierce competition, our athletes from Mizfits Jiu Jitsu Academy showed courage, technique, and heart at the highest level.
We’re proud to announce that we’re returning to Split with three medals! 💥
🥈 Duje Dobronić – Silver Medal in +100 kg
Duje had a phenomenal performance – winning all of his matches except one, which ended 0:0 and was decided by referee’s decision. His run proved his elite level of preparation and true fighting spirit.
🥉 Ante Zekan – Bronze Medal in +100 kg
Ante earned a strong submission victory and kept up the pace throughout the tournament. His energy, control, and solid performance brought him a well-deserved bronze medal.
🥉 Mateo Bilođerić – Bronze in the Absolute Division
Mateo stepped into the toughest category – the Absolute Division – and managed to secure a place on the podium. Battling through a series of tough matches, he demonstrated grit and maturity, finishing with bronze around his neck.
Also representing our club were Marko Volarević in the Beginner -91 kg division, Vicko Alfirević in the Beginner -91 kg division, and Daria Boduljak in the Beginner +65 kg category. While they didn’t reach the podium this time, they gained invaluable experience and precious minutes on the mats.
